The plans on site are never out of date.
Keep the drawings in one folder. Everyone on site opens the current revision from the same link.

The problem
Plans go out by email, get saved on phones and printed, and then the drawing changes. Someone ends up working from an old revision. A live folder means there is one place to look.
Why it works
- Everyone finds the current set
- Trades open the same link every time, so nobody works from a printout or an email from three weeks ago.
- Works on any phone
- A foreman on site just taps the link. No app to install and no login to remember with dusty hands.
- You update in one place
- Save the new revision into the folder and everyone who opens the link afterwards finds it there.
How to set it up
Share the folder with the current drawings using Share with ordner.link.
Keep only View ticked, set Who can open it to Anyone, and set Link expires to Never for the length of the project.
Send the link to the trades once. Save a new revision into the folder and they will find it there.
What to keep in mind
The folder is only reachable while your Mac is awake and online, so this works best on an office Mac that stays on. Up to 20 visitors can be connected to a share at once. Anyone with the link can open it, so add a password for plans that aren't public. Files people downloaded stay on their devices and don't update.
Questions
Do trades need an app?
No. The link opens in the browser on any phone or tablet.
Can others change the plans?
No. With View, visitors can only look and download. The files stay yours.
