The problem
Club documents tend to live on one person's computer and in old emails, and member logins are the first thing nobody wants to maintain. A link needs none of that.
Why it works
- No logins to manage
- Nobody has to remember a password or ask the treasurer to reset one. Members just open the link.
- One address for everything
- Members find minutes and forms behind the same link, instead of digging through old emails.
- Easy to hand out
- Put the link in the newsletter or the group chat. Members get minutes and forms without an extra step.
How to set it up
Put the club documents in a folder and choose Share with ordner.link.
Keep only View ticked, set Who can open it to Anyone and set Link expires to Never.
Send the link to members or add it to your newsletter.
What to keep in mind
The folder is reachable while the Mac it lives on is awake and online, and up to 20 visitors can be connected at once. Anyone with the link can open it, so add a password for anything private.
Questions
